A SOLDIER'S DEATH

DIRECTOR | EDITOR
A Soldier's Death was produced as part of an experimental film module I took during my BA at Ravensbourne University London.
The film focuses on the idea of the degraded image in an age of image reproduction, media sharing, torrents and fetishism around the 'perfect' image. For this I used a single shot and re-recorded it on a screen, then re-recorded that, iterating the process thirty times to slowly destroy the original.
There is no post-production sound or image manipulation. Everything you see is as it was shot in-camera. Taking what is cheap and humorous and making it haunting.
